Our Mission
RAi UK brings together researchers from across the four nations of the UK to understand how we should shape the development of AI to benefit people, communities and society.
It is an open, multidisciplinary network, drawing on a wide range of academic disciplines. This stems from our conviction that developing responsible AI will require as much focus on the human, and human societies, as it does on AI.
Funded by the Technology Missions Fund, we convene researchers, industry professionals, policy makers and civil society organisations.
We conduct and fund research into responsible AI. We have developed a skills programme for those who build, buy and use AI. And we work with policymakers to explain the opportunities and risks associated with AI.
