Responsible AI NHS Champions

Driving Responsible AI Innovation Across Health And Social Care

AI is already changing how care is delivered, from diagnostics to resource planning, opening up transformative opportunities to enhance health and social care services and improve outcomes. However, its rapid adoption also presents critical challenges, including ethical concerns, regulatory compliance, and the risk of inequities in care.

To address these challenges and ensure the responsible use of AI, the Responsible AI UK Health and Social Care Working Group is establishing a UK-wide network of Responsible AI NHS Champions who can lead locally to ensure we scale these efforts, spread best practices, and drive lasting, equitable impact. We work closely with the NHS AI Ambassador Network (led by NHS England and DHSC, supported by NHS Horizons) and other national partners, so Champions are connected to a wider community already working toward the same goals, rather than working in isolation.

Join a growing network of 150+ Champions already active across NHS organisations nationwide.
