  • calender 7 September 2026
  • clock 9:30 am - 4:30 pm GMT

This event will bring together RAi Cornerstone Projects to share their latest work, developments, and newly launched campaigns.

The Cornerstone Campaign Launch Event will be held at King’s College London and is by invitation only.

• REASSURE: Real-world Evaluation and Assurance for Safe and Trustworthy Responsible AI Ecosystems

Frontline services, financial services, and other public-facing sectors are adopting AI rapidly, often without mature assurance processes that are adequate for complex real-world and sociotechnical settings. This campaign develops and tests responsible AI assurance approaches across three linked workstreams:

  • FRONTLINE, which focuses on universal support and public-interest services across education, health and the third sector;
  • PROTRACE, which develops protocols and traceability for agentic AI in financial services;
  • Methodologies and AI Infrastructures, which provides the shared sociotechnical methods, participatory approaches, and AI tools needed to coordinate learning across use cases.

Together, the campaign will deliver sociotechnical assurance methods, demonstrators, governance tools, and evidence for safer, more trustworthy AI deployment.

• Responsible Generative AI Interactions

Explores how generative AI shapes human connections and choices.

  • Strand 1: Intimate Interactions examines the nuances of physical, intellectual, and virtual intimacy, addressing how generative AI influences emotional and relational dynamics.
  • Strand 2: genAI Choices investigates how different groups talk about AI (Framing AI), why people chose not to use AI (Rejecting AI), and a case study (AI in Online Dating) highlighting societal impacts.

By analysing these areas, we aim to identify how generative AI uptake would benefit from responsible principles prioritising transparency, consent, and human-centric design to foster trustworthy and equitable interactions.

We will also have presentations/update from our RAi UK/NExT Sandpit Advancing the RAI Assurance Model Across Cultures sandpit in Singapore:

–  Unheard Minds: Exploring and Understanding AI in the Wild

– Values in the Machine: Embedding Social and Cultural Accountability into AI Assurance

– CAPTAIN: Communicating AI Assurance to Publics Across Institutional Contexts
