Led by Helen Kennedy, Director of the Digital Good Network, University of Sheffield and Mhairi Aitken, Alan Turing Institute, this online workshop will introduce the RAi UK satellite project ‘Public Voices in AI’ which aims to centre public voices in AI research, development and policy.
On Public Voices in AI, we are evaluating current public voice methods, their impacts and challenges, and identifying gaps where further support or resources may be needed. Through this research we will develop a set of resources to support wider best practice in this important area.
In the workshop, we invite you to join us in co-designing resources to support AI researchers, developers or policy-makers to involve the public in their work. We will share research findings from our work examining current approaches, and discuss what further resources may be beneficial to advance wider involvement of diverse members of the public across the AI innovation lifecycle.
