(Webinar) A Teen’s Perspective on AI, Social Media, and Mental Health

  • calender 9 July 2025
  • clock 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm GMT
  • location Online

Join us for a thought-provoking session featuring a special guest: Jack Tattersall, a 14-year-old student who first discovered the effects of AI in social media while preparing for the Rotary Youth Speaks Competition on regional and national level. Since then, Jack has continued to explore its broader implications. This unique session will offer a fresh and diverse perspective on responsible AI, highlighting the importance of engaging voices across generations in shaping the future of technology.

We’ll discuss how AI is increasingly embedded in everyday platforms, the psychological effects it can have on young people, and the misconceptions spreading about its use. With personal reflections, peer insights, and a critical look at how companies are prioritising speed over responsibility, this session offers a fresh and candid youth perspective on one of the most urgent issues of our time. We’ll also explore what education and society can do to better prepare the next generation.
