
Information Systems Manager
Khalid Parkar is the Information Systems Manager for Responsible AI UK (RAI UK), based at the University of Southampton. With a strong background in cybersecurity, systems administration, and digital infrastructure, he oversees the design, development, and maintenance of the platforms that power RAI UK’s national research operations.
He leads the technical architecture and ongoing operations of RAI UK’s integrated research systems across Southampton, the University of Nottingham, and King’s College London, ensuring seamless collaboration across the consortium.
His expertise spans ERP and cloud services, web infrastructure, and information security, with a focus on improving operational efficiency, safeguarding data integrity, and ensuring compliance with UKRI and university governance standards.
He also plays a key role in strategic system planning, integrating digital communication tools, and coordinating with partner institutions to maintain resilient, scalable, and secure systems that support RAI UK’s mission to advance responsible AI research.
